Special Effects
Square Sail’s expertise is frequently called upon to create
the special effects necessary to achieve the desired results—from
the 60’ galleon wreck, custom built for ‘Crusoe’
, to the spars and rigging for the incredible capsizing scenes in
‘White Squall’.

For the storm sequence in ‘Amy Foster’ aka ‘Swept
from the Sea’, Square Sail used the inner harbour at
Charlestown—ideal as a water tank. Cables attached to
the ship’s mast were pulled via a crane on the quay
to create the ‘rocking and rolling’ motion
