THE BUSY SEASON CONTINUES

All three of the Square Sail ships attended the very successful festivals in Brest and Douarnenez. Phoenix headed back to Cornwall and after the crew had a much deserved short break, the ship began her sailing programme, kicking off with 8 three hour cruises from our home port of Charlestown week commencing 26th July. The weather was kind to us (although more wind would have been appreciated) and once again these short duration sails were a great success. Straight after the cruises, Phoenix set sail on her first Cornish Coastal cruise of the summer. This cruise finished in Falmouth on 1st August and the ship will remain there offering 3 and 6 hour cruises, until 15th August when she heads for Fowey. Earl and Kaskelot went on to Bristol from France and were the star attractions at the SWEB Energy Festival held in Bristol Docks. The two ships are now Cornwall bound, Earl of Pembroke will come into Charlestown on Wednesday 4th August to prepare to open to the public in a couple of weeks time. Kaskelot will call briefly at the harbour before heading off to attend Cowes Week, returning to our home port, 15th/16th August. Both these ships will then be open to the public from approximately 17th August onwards.
