Our tall ships can represent vessels from a wide range of historical periods spanning many centuries, from the 15th through to the early 20th century.
Often, minimal conversions can successfully alter the appearance, previous examples include:-
The addition of a funnel on one of our ships and minimal dressing transformed it into Shackleton's Endurance
Paddle wheels were added to the Phoenix for the film adaptation of 'Great Expectations'
Other, more extensive conversions include the transformation of the Phoenix and another vessel for Mel Gibson's Apocalypto
False windows were constructed on the stern of one of the ships for the 'Hornblower III' television series
For 'Amazing Grace' the ship was 'aged' to become the dilapidated slave ship 'Madagascar'
And conversions for Ridley Scott's '1492 Conquest of Paradise'
