Shane McCarthy

Head of Square Sail Ventures is Shane Mccarthy.  Shane also owns Atlantic Production Ltd which offers a range of services from set design and staging to large temporary structures for the Film and Corporate markets.  Shane took over the ownership of the Square Sail in 2015 and his long term goal is not only to continue delivering the marine filming skills, facilities and maritime expertise Square Sail is renowned for but also to further expand the scope of services we can offer to Film, Media and Corporate clients.

Harbour

Our Harbour Master is in charge of all aspects of the day-to-day running of the port and manages all ship movements, including visiting yachts and lay-up of vessels.  

Shipyard

Square Sail has a number of skilled shipwrights able to accomplish all marine related work, including restorations, repairs, conversions and general marine maintenance.

The Company also employs marine engineers.

The Crew of Phoenix

The Company employs a full time, core permanent crew on Phoenix, which includes the Captain and First Mate.  Additional experienced crew return each sailing season to complete the ship's complement.
