THE PHOENIX
Square Sail own and operate the magnificent square rigger Phoenix. For filmwork, the ship can be converted, adapted and re-rigged by our skilled shipwrights to replicate almost any period and ship that is needed.
MARINE FILM TANK
The lock-in facility of Charlestown Harbour controls the water levels for the Inner Basin, thus providing a unique marine film tank facility for exterior water filming day and night.
PERIOD HARBOUR
With wide granite quays ideal for set builds, Charlestown's inner and outer harbours are perfect for filming loading & unloading scenes; arrivals & departures and dockside action
SHIP CONSTRUCTION
If a conversion cannot achieve the desired result, we can build vessels to a production's specifications
SHIP CONVERSION
We are able to convert our own ship to any period or appearance as required, with skilled, experienced shipwrights to carry out the work.
